In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Deeti Dave

Mom + Entrepreneur + Technocrat + Adventurist + Product Manager

Deeti Dave is a technocrat, entrepreneur and product manager. The first sort of mobile app she worked on was in the year 2003, at Chicago board of Trade for Dell Palmtop. She graduated in Industrial Engineering and went on to do two masters, one in Computer science and another in Mechanical Engineering. She is managing a line of stock trading games at Games2Win and is a guest faculty at Maharaja Ranjitsinh Institute of Design at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She has worked at Motorola Mobile Devices on entire Linux Java mobile phone line. She has also worked at Chicago Board Options Exchange. She has developed and managed multiple products in her start up that includes a pilot project with Vadodara Municipal Corporation for Smart City digital communications system for residents of Vadodara city.

Dr. Anil Kane

President emeritus of World Wind Energy Association + Philosopher + Author + Consultant

Dr. Anil Kane, the former Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, 1998 to 2001 is significantly known for his contributions to the technology of wind energy. He is the founder Chairman of the Indian Wind Energy Association (InWEA). After three consecutive terms as the President of the World Wind Energy Association, he was designated as the President Emeritus of the WWEA. He is a recognized Arbitrator on the panels of the Indian Council of Arbitration, FICCI & ASOCHEM, and an International consultant on the panel of the World renowned Gerson Lehrman Group of New York. He has been on the Board of directors of companies like Essar Steel Ltd., Finolex Industries Ltd., Suzlon Energy Ltd. And the Calico group of Textile Mills Ltd.

Esha Manwani

An unapologetic jack of all trades, Esha Manwani has dabbled in tech journalism, pursued public relations for corporate biggies like Lodha, and went on to handle content for Zomato in various cities like Mumbai, Pune and Lucknow. At Zomato, she realized her passion for watching start ups grow; it was intriguing that one action today would show immediate results tomorrow - that’s where the hustle gene was born and then she went on to lend her expertise to Housing .com, a budding start up at the time. With the needs of the company changing ever so often, her profile took shape of any challenge arising. She started off as a community manager and get moulded into their Partnerships Manager. Esha Manwani is in the business of sensitizing traditional brands to the new world of branded content as the head of brand collaborations at Terribly Tiny Tales.

Karan Grover

Architect

Karan Grover has been passionately advocating the need to look at ones culture and heritage for clues as to the direction for a contemporary architecture and sustainable development relevant to the Indian context today. He has enthused children in conservation and been nominated a “social entrepreneur” as a Fellow of the Ashoka Foundation, Washington. Winner of all the Indian Awards for Excellence in Architecture and Interior Design; he almost single handedly won India’s nominations for UNESCO’s World Heritage Site status for Champaner after a 22 year old campaign in 2004, Grover became the first architect in the world to win the U.S. GBC “Platinum” Award twice, one for the greenest building in the world and other for the interior of ABN AMRO Bank at Ahmedabad. He was nominated as one of India's top 10 architects consecutively for 5th year by the Construction World.

Meghana Sahu

Mrs. Meghana R. Sahu is a Forensic Consultant, handwriting expert, Finger print expert and Graphologist. A gold medalist in MSc. Criminology and Forensic Science and has also mastered the course in Handwriting Analysis from International School of Handwriting analysis. Meghana Sahu has been a practicing Forensic consultant and graphologist in Vadodara since 18 years. Besides handling different cases of criminal and civil nature, she has counseled number of adults and children on the basis of graphology, face reading and body language. She is also associated with various govt. agencies and big corporate companies which regularly refer different types of cases to her. She has counseled problematic children and teenagers on various issues like career, education, emotional and intellectual aspects of personality, conflicts with parents or peer group. At TEDxSayajigunj she would be speaking about dealing of problems of children through handwriting analysis.

Samish Dalal

Professor + Family Business expert

Prof. Samish Dalal specialises in the field of Negotiation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is associated with the family business since many years and has taught more than 2500 students of family business and has touched base with more than 300 Indian Family Businesses. He has done his MBA from The University of Queensland, Australia and has further enhanced his skills through two major executive education programs in Harvard Business School and Wharton Business School, respectively. He is the associate professor at S P Jain and has played an important role in creating knowledge for family business community.

Sankalp Kohli

A Storyteller

Sankalp Kohli is one of the most inspiring storyteller and corporate trainer in India. He has a strong belief that, writing and storytelling, if understood properly, can act as a very powerful tool for budding engineers, managers and entrepreneurs of India. His sessions are much Fun minus the boring 'Gyan'. He mainly talks about Power of Stories, Art of Storytelling, Confidence Building and Getting Placed through Stories. Sankalp is the author of four books namely ‘Because… Every Raindrop is a Hope (2013)’, ‘When I Found You, I Found Myself (2013)’, ‘Hackster (2014)’ and ‘What’s Your Story (2015)’.
