We live in a world of communication. Sometimes, we have the feeling that we listen to the same predominant voices. We know that some voices are neither heard nor listened. What if we would listen to unheard voices, to the voices of the voiceless ? 10 Speakers share their views.

Ayse Birsel

Designer

Birsel is the co-founder of Birsel + Seck, an award-winning, New York design studio working with Fortune 500 companies to bring simplicity, systems-thinking and humanism to the complex problems of life, work, experiences, products and business. The author of Design the Life You Love, a book inspired by her coursework applying the design process and tools to your life, Birsel was recently identified by Fast Company as one of the world’s Most Creative People in 2017 and is on the Thinkers50 Radar List of the 30 management thinkers most likely to shape the future of organizations.

Diana Saliceti

Singer-songwriter

Diana Saliceti nous fait partager les émotions de moments de vie portés par le chant des femmes corses : du quotidien aux événements exceptionnels... de la naissance à la mort. Elle propose ainsi une ellipse intimiste entre monodie et polyphonie, entre chants traditionnels et créations. Diana prends racine sur la terre de ses anciens tout en bâtissant des ponts qui la mènent sur les pourtours de la Méditerranée. C’est ainsi que l’on retrouve dans sa voix des airs de tarentelles italiennes, de fado portugais ou encore d’incantations africaines. C’est pourtant dans le chant corse traditionnel et notamment polyphonique qu'elle a puisé son amour de la musique. Dans son premier album, sorti en 2015, l’auteur-compositeur livre des créations mêlant chant traditionnel, folk et rock, en langue corse et en toute liberté.

Gerald Garutti

Writer and Director

Homme de théâtre et écrivain, Gérald Garutti est l’un des seuls metteurs en scène français à créer des spectacles à Londres. Il a travaillé sur une quarantaine de pièces (Shakespeare, Molière, Poe, Musset, Dostoïevski…) en Angleterre (Royal Shakespeare Company) et en France (Comédie-Française, TNP). Croisant philosophie, littérature et arts, dans ses spectacles, textes et conférences il explore la question du sens : héros, révolution, Histoire, utopie, pouvoir. Normalien agrégé de lettres, après avoir enseigné à Cambridge et Chicago, il est maître de conférences à Sciences Po en humanités politiques. Dernières publications : Haïm – à la lumière d’un violon et Richard III traduit de Shakespeare.

Elle est une scientifique, professeur de biologie, qui se consacre à présent aux causes qui impliquent les plus pauvres.

Henri Corderoy du Tiers

Pilote

Après ses études à l'Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile et 7 années à la DGAC, Henri travaille pour Dassault Systèmes. Compétiteur de natation de haut niveau, instructeur de pilote d'ULM et détenteur de 3 licences Américaine, Anglaise et Française de pilote privé d'avion avec plus de 2.300 heures de vol, il a été élu Président de l'Aéroclub des Sourds de France. Décoré de la Médaille de l'Aéronautique mais aussi propriétaire-récoltant d'armagnac, marié à une américaine et père d'une fille, Henri Corderoy du Tiers est sans doute quelque peu "extra-ordinaire", la passion le poussant depuis toujours à dépasser ses limites.

Joana Révis is a Voice specialist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Vocologist and Lecturer at the University of Medicine of Marseille. Associated researcher at the CNRS Speech and language laboratory, she seeks to define the outlines of the Voice, to understand it and tame it.

Michel Laprise

As an actor, director and artistic director, Michel Laprise joined Cirque du Soleil in 2000 where he grew to become one of its most audacious prolific directors. He directed numerous out-of-the-box and innovative large-scale performance events. He collaborated with pop star Madonna on her Superbowl half-time show and then directed her award-winning MDNA world tour. He directed the acclaimed record-breaking Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities in 2014, still currently touring. In 2017, Michel wrote and directed Cirque du Soleil’s 40th production, “Sép7imo Dia – No Descansaré” inspired by the music of Argentina’s most cherished rock band of all time, Soda Stereo and currently touring in big arenas in Latin America. He is currently preparing two more shows for Cirque du Soleil.

In a cutting-edge range of work that intersects culture, politics, relationships, fashion and film, Nusrat's stories have covered over 50 countries from Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan to Native America, always putting the humanity of their subjects at the center. He has been felicitated by President Obama and received numerous awards and his work applauded for its fearlessness and impact.

Orianne Duprat-Briou is Head of Group Internal Audit of an Insurance group. As a French high-ranking civil servant, she worked in diplomacy, auditing, taxation and financial sector.

Romain Badouard

Social scientist researcher

Romain Badouard is a social scientist and associate professor at the University of Cergy-Pontoise. His research topics address the current transformations of western democraties through the rise of digital technologies. He is involved in several projects directed by civil society organisations that intend to empower citizens voices in the public debate. At a time of filter bubbles on social networks, he thinks that we urgently need to build common spaces for debate in order to regenerate the democratic ideal of the internet.

Sakina M'Sa

Sustainable fashion designer

Née aux Comores, elle a étudié à l’Institut Supérieur de la Mode à Marseille. Elle est directeur de la création de ses propres marques (Sakina M'sa et Blue Line). Sakina M'sa est devenue un visage symbolique de la mode française durable. Elle a reçu plusieurs prix incluant celui de la Fondation Kering.
