We lead you into the new science and experience of H3O2. Meet the scientists and body trainers who show you how it works.

TEDxNewYorkSalon hosts BODIES OF WATER, a half-day TEDx experience on Friday, November 4th at The Standard, High Line in Manhattan. This free public event will include live TEDx talks, video, performance, and audience interactions. Tickets are limited. Register now.
Our Bodies of Water theme will open a wide-ranging discussion about cells, water, energy, hydration, movement, and human performance. Our event will address is H3O2, a newly identified gel form of water that is found in all living cells. Also called structured water, H3O2 hydrates and conducts electricity more efficiently than H2O. How can we use this knowledge to accelerate healing and repair in all living bodies of water?

We’ll bring to the TEDx stage internationally recognized water scientist Dr. Gerald Pollack, of the Pollack Water Lab; MIT senior research scientist Dr. Stephanie Seneff, who looks at the health of cells; Gillian Ferrabee, director of the Creative Lab at Cirque du Soleil Media; and anthropologist Gina Bria, who researches hydration strategies. Other special guests will include mind-body trainer Laura Hames Franklin, madrigal singer Owen McIntosh, classical guitarist Ismet Ertas, and poet and storyteller James Nave.

Our TEDxNewYorkSalon speakers have vital information to share, so we want this free event to make a big impact. Seating is limited to 100. Our audience comes from across many sectors, including science, water, health, body intelligence, social innovation, and design. We will connect you to others who share a passion for knowledge, water, health, and our planet.

Brian Bunsen

Brian Bunsen is the thirty-two year old founder and publisher of The Fourhundred Magazine. As an entrepreneur and leader in the social media digital community, Brian has raised awareness through his publications and social media strategies. With a strong community and network of influencers, he is rising quickly as one of the progressive and motivated individuals looking to change how we view social media and digital media as a whole. Brian graduated from Florida Military Academy in 2003 and immediately started on his path as an entrepreneur.

Dr. Gerald Pollack

Dr. Gerald Pollack is a professor at the University of Washington. Dr. Pollack’s research investigates biological motion and cell biology. His curiosity was piqued when he dissected a muscle cell and noticed the interior water did not run out, but stayed in place. Why was that? This led to his 1990 book, Muscles and Molecules: Uncovering the Principles of Biological Motion, winning an “Excellence Award” from the Society for Technical Communication. His 2001 book, Cells, Gels and the Engines of Life, and his newest book, The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor won that Society’s “Distinguished Award.” He is founding editor-in-chief of the journal, WATER, convener of the Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Water, and executive director of the Institute for Venture Science. He won the 2015 Brandlaureate Award, previously bestowed on Nelson Mandela and Steve Jobs. In 2016, he was awarded the first international Emoto Peace Prize.

Gillian Ferrabee

Gillian’s fascination with artistic inspiration, creativity, and human bodies is lifelong. Her first professional career was as a contemporary dancer. She toured Europe, North America, and Mexico for a decade with O Vertigo Dance and Carbone 14 Dance Theatre. In 1994, she began acting, teaching, coaching, and screenwriting. In 2004 Gillian joined Cirque du Soleil’s casting team as an artistic scout, traveling the world to audition exceptional talent and new performance and design trends. She was on the casting team for The Beatle’s Love show in 2006. As director of the Creative Lab at Cirque Du Soleil Media, Gillian leads a team that develops projects for TV, film, and new media. Their recent projects include the 2016 Emmy award-winning VR project Inside the Box of Kurios, co-produced with Felix & Paul Studios, and Luna Petunia, an animated series for preschoolers created in partnership with Saban Brands, premiering on Netflix in December 2016.

Gina Bria

Gina collects stories and strategies from around the globe on where to find water. She founded the Hydration Foundation, incubated at the Centre for Social Innovation bringing together traditional approaches and new water science to offer strategies for hydration. Trained at Columbia University, Gina was named Real World Scholar with World Evolved Lecture Series. She works with scientists, clinicians, schools, and organizations to promote optimal hydration and new approaches. Her current work focuses on the newly emerging science of fascia and its role in tissue hydration and electrical conduction. Her first book, The Art of Family: Rituals, Imagination, and Everyday Spirituality, was a Starbuck’s selection. She is author of QUENCH: A Five-Day Plan for Optimal Hydration, with Dr. Dana Cohen, MD, and How to Grow Water: It's Not Only Blue, It's Green, exploring water inside plants. She serves as founding member with Dr. Pollack on the board of the Worldwide Water and Health Association.

Stephanie Seneff

A committed voice for sanity in science, Dr. Seneff has authored over two dozen peer-reviewed journal papers over the past few years about the connection between toxic chemicals and micro nutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a focus on the dangers of Roundup (glyphosate) and the importance of sulfur. For more than three decades, her research interests have been at the intersection of biology and computation: developing a computational model for the human auditory system, understanding human language so as to develop algorithms and systems for human computer interactions, and applying natural language processing (NLP) techniques to gene predictions. Her current work focuses on the relationship between health and nutrition. Dr. Seneff is a Senior Research Scientist at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, MA. She has four degrees from MIT including a B.S. in biology and a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science.
