Alan Della Noce

He is an Italian fashion accessories designer based in Milan. He obtained his Fashion Design BSc and his Fashion Design MSc with the highest score. He also attended the Jewellery Design Master Course of Poli.Design and he took part in international contests and design exhibitions. After working experiences at DeBeers, Dolce&Gabbana and Ermenegildo Zegna, he has been for three years the Gianfranco Ferré accessories designer, in charge of Womens and Mens Collections of handbags and leather goods. Since 2013 he is an Adjunct Professor of Accessories Design at Politecnico di Milano and he is working as Design Consultant for international companies like Serapian, Zanellato, FPM Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano, Aston Martin by FPM Milano, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. In 2016 he joined the Piaggio Group as Lifestyle Design Manager, in charge of the creative direction and the design strategy for lifestyle and fashion categories of Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia and all the brands of the Group.

Andrea Zuanetti

Andrea Zuanetti was born in Milan in 1990. In 2016 he graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He works as consultant in the sector of Risk Management. Since 2009 he is volunteer CISOM, which operates in the frame of civil protection and homeless. During his studies he participated in two contests on aircraft projects and he won the contest by AIAA and NASA with the project of an aerotaxi for the city of New York.

Dario Polli

Dario Polli is Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano. He builds lasers generating extremely short flash lights, whose applications range from research on innovative materials to biology. He published about 80 scientific papers on international magazines. In 2015 he was funded by the European Research Council to develop an innovative microscope based on impulse lasers to study cells and identify tumor tissues. He is affiliated to IIT (Italian institute of technology) and to CNR (Italian national institute of research). Passionate/enthusiast for of scientific dissemination, he created a series of video of Physics for MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses), he collaborated with Focus Junior to explain the fascinating world of Physics to children, he realized several informative for the general public (Wired Next Fest 2015, TEDx Vicenza 2016) and for several high schools in Milan.

Fabia Ciccone

FABIA CICCONE studied Industrial Design at the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano and she is currently attending the Master’s Degree programme of Product Design for Innovation. She was born in 1991 in a little city near Pavia but early she moved to Milan, following her dreams: design and judo.

Fabio Novembre

Fabio Novembre was born in Lecce in 1966. He graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1992. He studied flmmaking at New York University in 1993. He opened his own studio in 1994. He has been working with leading Italian Design brands. His work has been published all over the world for its visionary approach.

Marco Imperadori

Marco Imperadori is Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches Design and Technological Innovation at the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering. He is Rector’s Delegate for Far East. He conducts research and he published books and articles on scientific magazines in Italy and abroad on the themes of sustainability and energy saving. From 1999 to 2016 he has been member of the architectural practice Atelier2 (Valentina Gallotti and Marco Imperadori Associati) in Milan. He won several awards and mentions both national and international.

Marco Piscopo

MARCO PISCOPO studied Industrial Design at the Università degli Studi di Firenze and he is currently completing his master’s degree in Product Design for Innovation at Politecnico di Milano. Born in 1988 near Bari (Southern Italy), while carefully considering social dynamics, he developed a strong interest for Interaction Design, doing projects that aim to involve people in a synesthetic way.

Marinella Levi

I was born on 21st in springtime. Television was in black and white and the telephone, made of bakelite, was attached to the wall, in the corridor. Since I was child I learned to love four things: teaching, learning, studying and smiling. Since 1980 I try to do this, every day, at Politecnico di Milano. Three years ago I invented +LAB, where I teach, learn, study and smile, 3D-printing extraordinary pieces of future. I like red hair, the sea, chocholate. And I live with uncombed hair. Because in life the good things, ruffle your hair…

Pierangelo Metrangolo

Pierangelo Metrangolo is full professor at Politecnico di Milano. He also holds a position as visiting professor at VTT-Technical Research Centre of Finland and at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Engineering of Biosynthetic Hybrid Materials of Aalto University, Finland. His awards include the 2005 ‘‘G. Ciamician’’ medal of the Division of Organic Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society and the 2005 Journals Grant Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is Co-Editor of Acta Crystallogr. B (IUCr), is in the editorial board of CrystEngComm (RSC), and in the Editorial Advisory Board of Cryst. Growth Des. (ACS). He is author of 194 publications with 10621 citations (H-index: 52). He is currently Titular Member of the Physical and Biophysical Chemistry Division of the IUPAC. Since 2013 he is European Research Council grantee with the project “FOLDHALO – Folding with Halogen Bonding”, aimed at investigating the relevance of biomolecular halogen bonds.

Sergio Escobar

Born in Milan in 1950, married, with three children, Sergio Escobar graduated ‘with honour’ in Philosophy of Science with Ludovico Geymonat at the Università Statale di Milano. In 1979 he began working at the the Teatro alla Scala as assistant to the Superintendent with responsibilities including coordination between directors, supervision of the theatre’s activity abroad, and the introduction of new media in the world of musical production. Together with Claudio Abbado he worked on the foundation of the Scala Philharmonic. Between 1990 and 1998 he was the Superintendent at the Comunale of Bologna, at the Carlo Felice of Genova and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. During this period he collaborated with some of the most important artists and institutions from the world of music both in Italy and overseas. Since October 1998 Escobar has held the post of Director of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano-Teatro d’Europa.
