Ann Marie is a quirky senior here at MVHS known for being barefoot, giggling excessively, having lots and lots of ideas, oh, and singing. She carries a sweetness with her everywhere she goes, spreading her ideas about how to pursue a greater humanity and appreciate every little moment. She's set to go to San Francisco State University next fall where she'll study speech pathology and partake in activism and public speaking. She likes long walks on the beach, swishy pants, and fruit. "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."-Ghandi.
Anna O'Brien
Student
Anna is a talented junior at MVHS who has been singing since she could talk and hiking since she could walk. Her passion for math and science has multiplied (haha, get it?) since the first time she got to look through microscopes and play with “awesome scientific gadgets” (as she called them as a kid) in her dad’s garage. After learning through her mom’s cancer journey that life often presents obstacles as a way to help you grow, Anna is excited to spread her belief that “a setback is a step forward.”
Annie Mitchel
Student
Annie is a junior at Mission Vista High School. Her passion for homelessness started when she was young. She refused to go to bed on cold nights knowing others had nowhere warm to sleep. Nothing will stop Annie from getting the job done. She once ran a cross-country race on a broken leg in order to support her team. Her life motto is: "Talk is cheap," which is why she started a club to transform talk into action and a business selling her artwork to raise funds and awareness regarding homelessness.
Carrie Zuckerman
Student
Carrie is senior at Mission Vista High School whose pastimes include stressing about homework as well as watching YouTube videos to avoid doing homework. Outside of class, Carrie leads Mission Vista’s STEM Clubs, participates in Academic Team, does lots of paperwork for CSF, volunteers at a local middle school’s engineering club, practices martial arts and piano, and occasionally makes cookies. In the fall, Carrie hopes to attend a prestigious university that she doubts she will get admitted to and will assume someone has made a mistake if she does.
