TEDxYouth@FortWorth is the culmination of a year long journey to empower the Youth of Fort Worth, Texas to find their voice. The main event will held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, but is normally part of a global series of events held in honor of Universal Children’s Day (November 20), TEDxYouth@FortWorth invites young people from grades 5-12 to gather for a day of inspiring talks and conversation. The 2016 theme is… What Now? Prior to the main event many youth will have the opportunity to attend a specialized TEDx Talk Training Session. Even the most amazing idea gets lost when not conveyed effectively. The TEDx@FortWorth Team wants every youth in the Metroplex to have the tools to express themselves in the best possible light. TEDx Talk Training’s sole purpose is to make each Trainee discover the best of themselves. Unlike any other program each student is given months of one-on-one mentoring with experienced adult coaches as well as work as a team to diligently help them “find their voice".
