About Jennifer Kessler
As a former French horn player, Jennifer Kessler is passionate about providing access to live classical and jazz performances and music education, and works with arts organizations across the U.S. to develop deeply engaging education and artistic initiatives.
Jennifer’s current consulting projects range from producing a month-long festival with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra around the theme of speaking out against injustice and oppression, to designing a national fellowship for young musicians from underrepresented communities to receive high level training for orchestral auditions.
Jennifer has produced professional development seminars for orchestra executives and managed grant-making activities at the League of American Orchestras, and developed a music for social change daily youth orchestra program for over 100 children in Hell’s Kitchen through the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
After managing young professional musician training programs at Carnegie Hall with some of the world’s greatest artists, Jennifer studied the Venezuelan system of youth orchestras as a Sistema Fellow at the New England Conservatory, a program launched through a TED Prize. Jennifer was the licensee of TEDXNewYorkSalon from 2011 –2012 and continues to facilitate for the wonderful community of ideas worth sharing.
