Elenor Lowry
Elinor attended school at the Dominican Convent in Harare, Zimbabwe. After studying at Rhodes University and WITS University she taught in London for a year at Woodmead School and at Sacred Heart College in South Africa. She now lives in Swaziland and teaches English at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA. She is married and has four children. She loves Africa, her family and life.
Jeanne Coppens
She is a seventeen year old IB1 student from Belgium. She describes her occupation as trying to figure out what’s happening to her and her environment. She often has ideas or thoughts that she needs to get out through drawing, writing, discussing, dancing or occasionally by organizing an event or workshop. Her fields of interest-which change often- are LGBTQI+ rights, contemporary art, anthropology and political activism are what keep her excited about life.
Joshua Green-Thompson
He is seventeen years old, from Johannesburg, South Africa. He is passionate about music, businesses and philosophy. He is currently a student Waterford Kamhlaba and lives in Swaziland with his parents and little brother. He is excited to give this talk to hopefully spread the idea of hope and optimism to the audience.
Keisha Mukasa
She is an 18 year old student at Waterford Kamhlaba, who is passionate about engaging in meaningful conversation with the people around her. She is particularly interested in how the education system shapes us, and ironically was inspired by a TED talk by Ken Robinson.
Theodora Bombassei
She’s lived in Belgium for 14 years and then moved into Buenos Aires, Argentina two years and then moved to Swaziland for school. She’s passionate about Latin America and travelling- so much so that two years ago she combined both to do a gender investigation for an NGO in different countries of the Southern Cone with her mother.
Tuse Mahenya
18 year old Tanzanian student at Waterford Kamhlaba United World, interested in theater, literature and LGBT+ rights.
