Photojournalism has to be a link between what happens in the world and the viewer who seeks answers, photography is nothing more than a dialogue between the photographer and the observer. Take a great photography transcends the act of shooting with the camera, because the difficulty is to be in the right place, at the right time and in the right circumstances. After all, shooting is the latest step in a sequence that must be accomplished to perfection, because the proper functioning of this mechanism depends on the credibility of the communicator.
Technological advances have democratized the use of cameras and photography today is accessible to everyone. The art of photography has not changed but it has the technology and the use. The image production has soared and compulsive consumption grows as pure fast food. The pollution exists and photojournalism have to deselect this trap governed by their own criteria without forgetting ethics and basic principles of journalism.
We will discuss about some topics:
- We know there should be limits on fast-food, but what are those limits?
- How should behave a photojournalist?
- What it is not worth it to tell a story?
