Join us for the inaugural TEDxErieSalon! TEDxErieSalon nights are small intimate events to celebrate and engage the TEDxErie community. Hosted by sponsors and volunteers, and attended by eager TEDxErie community members, TEDxErieSalon participants are passionate about "ideas worth spreading" and value taking this to another level. This event engages the public between regular TEDxErie events. "Salon nights" share similar attributes of TEDx events but are briefer, have greater opportunities for conversation, and heightened interaction with the audience. Don't worry though, TEDxErieSalon nights will be short and sweet; each salon lasts a couple of hours rather than being an all-day commitment. Basically the night will encompass informal discussion around a variety of topics, sometimes focusing on a particular issue, or broad in scope, fluid, free-flowing, and open for voices to be heard. TEDxErieSalon events will not have live speakers other than a host to set the stage for the theme of the evening and to introduce the featured TED or TEDx videos. Once the videos are done, the floor is open for discussion, commentary, or just conversation. Much of it depends on your willingness to participate and share your ideas with an open mind.
