Alright, alright, alright....we are extremely excited to announce the first TEDx event in Varna! Our city deserves such an awesome event, so we've decided to bring it to Varna and spread ideas.

For those who have never heard about TEDx, let us introduce it to you:

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.

Alexander Nenov

Alexander Nenov is an online entrepreneur since 1997 and has worked as a programmer, manager and consultant on hundreds of projects. Realized the largest public deal in the Bulgarian network before 2007 with the sale of the site Teenproblem.net. He works as a manager for one of the largest online media groups in the country - Investor.BG. Lecturer series of seminars related to online business and innovation, City University, New Bulgarian University Forum "New Markets", Digital Biblio Technologies, TravelMind, "Marketing zero budget" and more. Winner of the award "Knight of the Book" and repeatedly won awards competition BGSAYT. He is author of business books "1 click" and "How to Win the Internet?".

Charlie Gochev

Established and versatile professional guitar performer, composer, arranger. Also, he is promoter of music events and concerts related to various genres, partner and direct participant in most of the events of the cultural of Varna and Bulgaria. These qualities, experience and built network, combined with a deep motivation to full professional realization draw short- and medium- priorities, namely: implementation, development and dissemination of copyrighted music and performers in Varna.

Damian Lewis

Damian Lewis has worked globally across all facets of shopping centre management and development for the last twenty years. For the last eight years he has focussed on bringing Mall Income best practice to shopping centre owners throughout Europe and the Middle East and is currently the Managing Director of Mall Income Group.

Dimitar Traychev

Born on 12.03 in Shumen, in 1971 graduated from Art School, Sofia. Graduated spatial design Stroganov Moscow Higher Artistic-Industrial School. Dimitar Traychev is art director at Stalker graphic design studio and founder of the newsletter use A3. In 2002, the founder and curator of the project unguarded area. An active participant in numerous initiatives related to the visual and musical arts. In the last century he has presented his work in numerous personal and collective exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Sweden and Norway. Member of the selection jury of the Triennial of Stage Poster Sofia 1996-2010 and the International Jury of the Biennale Karikaturum 7 Russia. This year is part of the breeder jury tourist logo of Bulgaria 2016.

Frank Maier

Frank Maier is Managing Director of the Varna Seminar, a prospective planed music institute in Varna. The experienced German music manager and PR professional was responsible for succesful media campaigns for such renowned artists as Björk, Faithless, Robert Palmer, Moby, Joe Zawinul, and Rammstein among many others. Recently, he was Head of Promotion for the German branch of Virgin Records in Berlin. He will clarify the inner workings of the international music business, and therefore explain the beneficial handling with record companies, the media, agencies, publishers y etc.

Hristo Topchiev

Architect Hristo Topchiev is a member of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria. His interests are broad spectrum and include residential and public buildings, urban planning and architectural design, modern methods of parametric design.

Iskren Tonchev

Born in Bourgas, 23 years. He lives in Sofia, where he worked as a composer and performer. In 2011 he won the national championship in beatbox phenomenon with a performance never before seen on the Bulgarian scene. Represent Bulgaria at the World Championships in Berlin in 2012 and 2015. He won awards at various music festivals and judging of beatbox competitions. Recently, he is a teacher for professional beatbox. Become more familiar with their participation in this year's season to "Bulgaria's Got Talent" which reached the finals with remarkable musical concept by creating the music for the songs performed directly on stage.

Ivan Kirkov

Ivan Kirkov is stand-up comedian and producer. Owner of The Comedy Club Sofia and page stand-up comedy Comedy.bg. Born in Stara Zagora and graduated from High school Romain Rolland in English and French, and later studied and lived for ten years in Vienna. In 2012 Kirkov decided to return to Bulgaria, to invest in new business and to start a career as a comedian and producer of stendap comedy. May 2012 based Comedy.bg, and a little later try and open microphone, then began his career as a comedian stendap. In 2015 he organized the Second Festival of Stand-up comedy in Sofia, and a bit later opened the first in Bulgaria club stand-up comedy - The Comedy Club Sofia, where the invited stars such as Marina Orsag and Daniel Grozdich, better known as Serbian Lesson Guy. 2016 Ivan Kirkov organize the biggest show in Bulgaria - Dylan Moran.

Lubo Sergeev is conceptual photographer and visual story teller with 20 years of experience in advertising, high-end retouching and commercial image production. He is award winning fine art photographer and digital artist.

He has 10+ years experience in various business sectors and industries some of which are Real Estate, IT, Tourism & Hospitality, Event Management and others. Previously he worked as Branch Manager for one of the biggest real estate companies in UK, Martin & Co Group.

Teodora Stoyanova

Teodora has spent the last two years actively developing and implementing projects promoting renewable energy in Bulgaria. Her love for Varna, the sea and the sun has led her to the development of the “Sea Sunflowers” project.

Thea Denoljubova

Thea Denoljubova was born in Varna in 1993 graduated from First Language School. Degree in Аrt Direction and Advertising in Istituto Europeo di Design, Milan. Author of the books "Put me pause" and "Boyan" ("Ciela"; editor Elin Rahnev; illustrator Kolyo Karanfilov). Also, it's presented in Brussels, London and Rome. "Put me on pause" was translated and published in italian. In 2014 Thea is the youngest author invited to a reading organized on the occasion of the International Day of poetry in the library of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome. Winner of the prize Varna, nominated for "flight art" of the "Stoyan Kambarev", won first prize for poetry in the "Petya Dubarova" and others. In 2015 was one of the speakers at TED, organized by the American University in Blagoevgrad. She loves the sea, lighthouse, ports, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye and Al Green.

Venci Venc'

Венцислав Чанов, известен в публичното пространство под псевдонима Venci Venc’, е роден на 02.06.1988 г. в София. Артист на Virginia Records (официален лицензиант на Sony Music за България) и създател на концепцията SETAABRAT.com, преди музикалната си кариера той се е занимава с BTL маркетинг.

Zlatka Dimitrova is a Coordinator of the Education Bulgaria 2030 a collective – impact network which unites the efforts and capabilities of more than 40 partner organizations, representing the public, private and social sectors in Bulgaria. Her teaching practice motivated her to pursuit a professional development with contribution for a positive change in education on system level.
