Why doesn't work happen at work - is it because of how managers run companies? Are current practices no longer valid and outdated? Reward systems, bonuses, commissions and incentives, do they really work as expected? The basic principles on which businesses are built actually don’t work, and this is a scientific “true fact”. There is a mismatch between what science knows and business does.
So why do they keep doing more of the wrong things? Is it really that today's businesses’ traditional pillars of management are obsolete, but who actually knows about this?
“Companies don’t have ideas. Only people do.” What is it that successful companies do differently? Avoid managers and meetings, give employees autonomy, home office, trust them with working hours - is this just a dream or is it the future? Or is it happiness that inspires us to be more productive and get things done?
