In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adam Dorsay

Dr. Adam Dorsay is a licensed psychologist practicing in San Jose. He is a graduate of SCU and has spent several years in the corporate sector in the U.S. and Japan. In addition to launching an international program for Facebook, he has served as a healthcare provider for the 49ers. Adam has a true passion for his work and loves being with his wife and two young sons.

Cormac (Mac) McOsker

Cormac “Mac” McOsker is a sophomore Political Science and Economics double major from Southern California. He has served on Associated Student Government as Class Senator since 2014 and as an Orientation Leader for which we was awarded MVP by his peers in 2015. Due to his leadership positions, Mac is an experienced public speaker, sharing inspirational and informative talks to crowds of over three hundred.

Courtnee Westendorf

Courtnee Westendorf is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Oakland Raiders. Prior to the Raiders, Courtnee served as Vice President of Marketing for Intel Corporation and Disney. Courtnee holds a B.A. in Communications from Loyola Marymount University and a M.A. in Education from Pepperdine University. She lives in the Bay Area with her two daughters.

Grant Chou

Grant Chou is a junior finance major and sustainability minor from Los Altos, California. He chose to attend Santa Clara University because of its Jesuit values, and seeks to incorporate those values into a progressive business perspective. He is passionate about people, dance, and working towards a more sustainable and equitable future.

Jack Lazar

Jack Lazar is a Santa Clara University graduate from the Leavey School of Business and has over 25 years of experience in Silicon Valley with a focus on finance and operations. He has served in leadership roles at GoPro, NetRatings, Atheros/Qualcomm, Apptitude, and Electronics for Imaging, taking all companies to IPO or acquisition.

Kirkland Langberg

Kirkland Langberg, a Communications major, is a graduating senior from Washington. He has participated in three years of Speech and Debate and has presented at numerous research conferences in the past year. Kirkland has a passion for research and communicating his findings in public forums, such as TEDx.

Tess Miller

Tess Miller is a graduating senior majoring in psychology with a minor in public health. She is the education director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness at SCU, creator of the University's first autism research project, and looks forward to a position at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto, California. Tess is passionate about the advancement of early intervention of childhood disorders and seeks to work with children with emotional and social difficulties.

Thane Kreiner

Dr. Thane Kreiner is the executive director of the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship and the Howard and Alida Charney University Professor at Santa Clara University. Thane was previously Founder, President, and CEO of PhyloTech, Inc. (now Second Genome), Presage Biosciences, Inc., and the start-up President and CEO for iZumi Bio, Inc. (now iPierian). Dr. Kreiner continues to pursue his passion for eradicating poverty and protecting the planet through social entrepreneurs.
