Our actions initiate a series of reactions around us, like a pebble thrown at one end of the pond, with the ripples reaching the other end. We possess a great gift, which gives us the power to change the world for better or for worse, through the decisions we take and the choices we make.

On the 9th of April 2016, we bring together a large group of people, who’s actions, thoughts and ideas have affected our lives, inspired us to think differently and started a major ripple effect in society and their respective fields of work. We offer you the platform to be inspired, by people who's ideas and actions changed the way we think and live.We welcome the dreamers, the thinkers, the change makers, and the ones who believe that their ideas can have greater effect on the lives, to come together and witness a day worth remembering. Just like a single wave gives rise to many larger ones in the sea, let this day create a ripple within you.

Founder, The Walking School

Aaron Friedland, Founder and Executive Director of The Walking School Bus, an organization which aims to help students worldwide access education; developed his passion for economic development and education while researching abroad and analyzing countries such as South Africa and India. Aaron's diversified interests combined with his experience in the field of economics and nonprofit experience; through his time working with Geneva-based NGO - UN Watch provided him with necessary tools to empower access to education and help students escape the poverty trap. His personal experiences opened his eyes to myriad barriers to education, such as distance to school and lack of nutrition. Which has resulted in the creation of a platform that raises both awareness and funds to empower educational attainment.

Abhas Mitra

Astrophysicist

A monumental moment for the Indian astrophysicist Abhas Mitra, occurred in 2015 as NASA confirmed the validity of his insight into black holes.Abhas Mitra, Former Head of theoretical astrophysics section, astrophysical sciences division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Professor at Homi Babha National Institute, in his research revealed that black holes do not exist, and are, in fact, gaseous balls of fire much like the sun. Hansi Mehrotra, CFA, has over 20 years of financial services industry experience, primarily in online delivery of investment research and consulting for the wealth management industry. Mehrotra helps institutional investors and wealth managers research investment opportunities through a due diligence tool (DiligenceVault.com) and a content site focused on India (MoneyManagementIndia.net). She also helps retail investors understand the basics of money through TheMoneyHans.com blog. Previously, Mehrotra was Asia Pacific head of wealth management for Mercer’s Investment Consulting business, based in Australia and Singapore. Kabir Cafe is the performance for TEDxJuhu this year. This band essentially makes uses of Kabir's dohe and couples them with contemporary, rock, classical, RnB music genres and create a fusion.They perform everywhere - from corporates to gigs to rural areas where their music is very much appreciated by villages and tiny towns. They spread the ideas of Kabir through their music.

Partho Bhowmick

Passionate Photography Teacher

Founder of the initiative Blind With Camera (see: blindwithcamera.org). Apart from maintaining his corporate persona at Pidilite, he takes his passion of helping the blind by teaching them photography. His idea works on the principle that for photography, the photographer needs to feel the picture not just see it. He believes that even if a person doesn't have vision, his other senses are heightened due to that - and no weakness can stop somebody from pursuing whatever it is that they want.

Ponnurangam Kumaraguru

Founding Head, CERC

An ACM India Eminent Speaker, received his Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and is the founder of PreCog, a research group in IIIT- Delhi. Having received research funds from Government of India, National Science Foundation (NSF), USA, and industry bodies in India, his key areas of Research are Privacy, e-Crime, Online Social Media and Usable Security. His Ph.D. thesis work on anti-phishing research at CMU has contributed in creating an award winning start-up Wombat Security Technologies, which recently raised Series C funding.
