David Timis
David Timis is a Growth Engine Manager at Google, where he coordinates the most ambitious digital skills training program in Romania, Atelierul Digital. He is also an active member of the Global Shapers Community, a network of exceptional young leaders from around the world who are determined to make a positive contribution to their communities, and to society as a whole.
David was recently named the “Young Leader of the Year” in Romania by Revista CARIERE, as a result of his continuous work to promote education, digital skills, and entrepreneurship among young people, through initiatives such as Aspire for Teachers, Atelierul Digital and Startup Weekend Bucharest.
Florina Pop
Ph.D. Candidate, Florina Pop is a Specialist Clinical Psychologist at the Oncology Institute Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuta. Her main expertise is the psychological intervention for complications associated to disorders and cancer treatments. She strongly believes in people and she likes to see the psychological intervention for oncology patients as a combination between “art” and science.
Iulia Oprea
Iulia Oprea is a Gestalt Coach, a Headhunter and a second time TEDx Speaker. She works with people on a daily basis since 9 years ago and what she'll present on the TEDxTârguMureș stage is based on her own experience. This experience helped her to broaden her horizon: to be able to see and understand multiple perspectives. Lawrence John Warry
Lawrence Warry lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and has followed his passion for Aikido, the martial art of Peace, for more than 20 years.
In 2013, Lawrence received certification as a Samurai Game® facilitator. The Samurai Game® is an ingenious personal development game, created by the late George Leonard, which has ingrained in it, principles of Aikido and mindfulness.
In his talk, Lawrence tells how his life brought him to Aikido and The Samurai Game® and how his experience elevated him to realize some universal leadership principles and tribal values which are often missing from the modern day world. He explains that the act of surrendering as a leader is effective for leadership and collaboration, and, that the Samurai Game® is a simple but effective tool for learning this.
Marius Maris
Marius Mariș is the unusual teenager who works more than he sleeps. He started his own business when he was still in high-school, he passed his final exams (BAC), but he thinks that his responsibility towards school shouldn't end here. He also believes that change needs to be made from outside the system, but in his idealistic nature he found methods of changing the public educational system from the inside.
Maurice Zondag
Maurice Zondag, living in The Netherlands, is as a philanthropist in the etymological sense, meaning in the sense of caring, nourishing, developing and enhancing what it means to be human. The love of humanity. In his spare time he is a theater producer and writer, music lover and he sees himself, amongst others, as a self-made man. He works as a personality coach at his company Modern Samurai where he teaches and coaches men how to find and create their own happiness. He believes that everyone has the right to their happiness as a core necessity in life. From the lessons of his life and the wisdom that comes from every life before us, called history, he now is able to give people the tools so they may find and create their own happiness.
Raluca Ana Medesan
Raluca Medesan strongly believes that people have an infinite potential, but they need the right context and the right motivation to acknowledge and reveal it. This is why her contribution and work has always been about offering/hosting/co-creating the contexts for these developing processes to happen both for her and for the ones she serves.
Vizi Imre
Vizi Imre, producer, songwriter, singer, entertainer has learned to play the guitar by himself at the age of 14, then other instruments followed, but his main instrument remained the bass.
He was a member of several music bands, until 2012, when he was discovered as a singer for the wide audience during the TV show The Voice of Romania, where he achieved the second place. In 2014 he attended the national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest as singer and songwriter, where he came in second.
