Amit Majmudar

Ohio's Poet Laureate
Amit Majmudar is a poet, novelist, essayist, and diagnostic nuclear radiologist. He is the state of Ohio's first Poet Laureate. His poetry and prose have appeared in the New York Times, New Yorker, Best of the Best American Poetry 1988-2012, and Norton Introduction to Literature. His novels include Partitions (Holt/Metropolitan, 2011) and The Abundance (Holt/Metropolitan, 2013). His latest poetry collection is Dothead (Knopf, 2016).

Andy Boy

Founder, United Schools Network (Charter Schools)
Andy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at the United Schools Network (USN). He opened his charter school, Columbus Collegiate Academy (CCA-Main), in 2008. The school, which serves about 240 students in grades 6-8, received an “Excellent” rating from the Ohio Department of Education in 2012. Recently, CCA-Main also won the Gold Star EPIC award from New Leaders for New Schools for its extraordinary student achievement gains; it was one of only four schools nationwide to win the honor.

Angie Plummer

Executive Director, Community Refugee Immigrant Services
Angie Plummer is the Executive Director of Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS), a non-profit organization serving refugees and immigrants in Central Ohio. She has been with CRIS since 1998, and started as a volunteer lawyer. She became Executive Director of the agency in 2003. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Dayton, where she majored in International Studies and minored in German, and is a 1992 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio and admitted by the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio. Prior to working for CRIS, Angie worked for the State of Ohio and in private practice. She lists as her professional accomplishments the participation in resettlement to Columbus, Ohio of more than 7,500 refugees and the successful resolution of many family reunification and asylum cases. She lives with her husband and two children in Columbus, Ohio.

For the past 30 years Sile is an accomplished gender performer best known for her gender bending portrayals of the sassy Lustivious Dela Virgion and the savvy Luster Dela V. She is the co-founder and visionary of 1990’s nationally and internationally acclaimed drag king troupe, H.I.S. KINGS and IDKE (The International Drag King Extravaganza). Ms. Singleton is featured in several documentary films; most notable Discovery Health’s "Drag Kings on Tour" (Atlantis 2004) and 2016's break out documentary "Kings, Queens and In-Betweens (Five Sisters Productions, 2016). For 8+ years she toured with her one person play, "PAINT! A Transformative Project" and with a multi-generational production titled "THE LOVE IN(side) Faith & Positive Perceptions of Self"; a show that merges traditional cross-dressing & drag performance with pop, urban & gospel music, spoken word and God’s blessings.
