Mary Ann Morris
Mary Ann’s nursing career spans 35 years of practice in direct care and education with a particular focus on global health, social justice, and community resilience. Nursing in remote Aboriginal communities in Canada, inner cities, Kosovo, and throughout Central America has honed her eye for innovation in health education where people are grappling to not only cope but thrive in the face of major health impediments. Today she works closely to promote effective working relationships between Canadian nursing students and Guatemalan community partners that reflect the principles of solidarity.Sara Sexton-Johnson
