Starting his career as a curious child breaking machines more often than utilizing them, his zeal has been converted to a fulltime career as a software engineer at Bank of America, while still passionately mentoring those seeking to enter the craft.
Growing New Farmers
Sebastian is a social entrepreneur and green agronomist with a vision to build sustainable food systems and resilient communities worldwide. As a bio-dynamic farmer, free-lance lecturer and adviser to corporations and international aid organizations (including the United Nations’ Environmental Program), Sebastian designs and implements courses and programs aimed to grow the next generation of organic farmers.
Through his engineering and organic agribusiness consulting company, called One Village Farm, Sebastian provides whole farm planning, capacity development, agricultural and business management training as well as implementation of ethical supply chains for certified organic products.
Sebastian’s recent project revolves around a program he designed for the Philadelphia Prison System that offers incarcerated inmates and returning citizens certified vocational training in organic agriculture, farm-to-table culinary arts, as well as sustainable landscaping.
