In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Allison Sanson

A sophomore undergraduate biological science major at Clemson University. Has taken on leadership roles in many college experiences. Served as the Chief Administrative Officer of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and the New Member Educator for CLEMSONLiVE. The frist women in her family to pursue a science career.

Courtney Curtis

Cortney Curtis is a student at Clemson University studying Pre-Veterinary sciences on the journey to veterinary school. She is an ambassador for the Animal and Veterinary Sciences department. She has a passion for helping others, and is currently on 2 research teams. She advocates for agriculture and is the Chair of Clemson's Little North American. She is also a manager for Intramural Sports at Clemson, and won the Campus Recreation Student of the Year award in 2015.

Denny Huynh

Denny Huynh has the motto, "Work hard, play hard." Studied abroad in Australia the summer after freshmen year, did a mini study abroad program in Iceland during Spring break 2014, Self-planned Europe backpacking trip this past summer, studying abroad in Brussels this upcoming summer, and has plans to see Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. This Clemson Student has nothing but a love for seeing the world.

Jacob Livingston

A member of the Clemson Honors College, a Senator in Undergraduate Student Senate, a 4.0 student, and a quick humor to boot. I take pride in my ability to communicate with others and the tenacity for the projects I take on. I also love slam poetry, and once wrote a spoken word piece about world hunger and poverty that won a county poetry slam.

Katie Abrames

Katie is intelligent, sassy, tenacious, driven, and solid orange. She encourages others, develops leadership, and speaks openly so that everyone has a place at the table. In her time as a student, Katie has done numerous things, but is most proud of her time as Senate President, in which she has helped (but cannot take full credit for) 64 other members of her body tackle, dominate, and accomplish great projects that benefit so much more than the immediate Clemson community.

Kimberly Paul

Kim Paul is warm, funny, speaks in paragraphs, and bring dinner conversation to a grinding halt with a single parasitology anecdote.

At just nineteen years old I was given brief international fame. I work with a non profit organization known as camp LUCK for children with congenital heart diseases and their families. I've traveled internationally and spent multiple summers in Mexico volunteering. I'm passionate about my writing and I have a deep love for sharing all the beauty life has to give with everyone I come in contact with.

Nicholas Hood

I had a close friend once tell me that he always believed I was a lost cause, but to see me where I am today has inspired him. My parents were divorced, I was diagnosed with Cancer, and expelled from high school all within one year. I kept fighting and graduated high school early, went back to college at Greenville Tech and transferred to Clemson University. I'm married and have a 3 year old daughter. I also work full time as an assistant manager in addition to going to school.
