In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Caroline Watson

Founder of Hua Dan, The Scheherazade Initiatives and the Global Arts Impact Agenda. She is also an INSEAD Social Entrepreneurs in Residence. Caroline has facilitated and developed workshops and training courses in the not-for-profit sector, with government training programmes, the English language sector and in corporations in Spain, Hong Kong, China and India. She was recently selected as an 'Architect of the Future' at Waldzell Meeting and in 2011 she became a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

Corinne Sawers

Corinne is an INSEAD MBA student. Prior to INSEAD she spent four years working for a top management consulting firm in London, where most recently she co-authored a research report on the economics of obesity. Whilst at work, she also took every opportunity to lead creative extracurricular projects, including writing and producing sketch comedy videos and writing/directing a circus musical. She holds an BA from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics & Economics, and an MSc from the London School of Economics in Political Philosophy. Corinne loves organizing parties, doing karaoke, and is an aspiring amateur aerial circus artist.

Jacqueline Kwok

Jacqueline Kwok, or “JK”, is an INSEAD MBA student. She is something like an American-born Chinese, but actually grew up in (Taipei), Hong Kong and Beijing. She aspires to be like Beyoncé but her scoliosis prohibits her from properly shaking her booty. That has never stopped JK from dancing. On the flip side, she worked in Shanghai, China at a private equity firm for 4 years prior to joining INSEAD. Like everyone at INSEAD, JK enjoys traveling and overcoming culture shock. JK also has a gummy candy addiction at a clinical level, but balances it out with Muay Thai and, yes, hip hop dancing.

Malene Rydahl

Author of the book “Heureux comme un Danois” (Happy as a Dane) and named one of the “24 women of 2012” according to the French magazine L’Express. She is part of the advisory committee for the Positive Economy Forum since 2012, an initiative lead by Jacques Attali under the sponsorship of the President of the French Republic. Manuel Sosa

Associate Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD and Director of INSEAD's creativity­‐business learning platform. His research efforts are applied to help established organisations develop innovative capabilities. He is particularly interested in studying the role of design in innovation. Prepare for a hard hitting talk on design from the maestro himself!

Mark Yong

CEO and co-founder at Garuda Robotics, a Singapore-based developer of turnkey drone solutions for agriculture, security and construction. Mark was previously a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University where he won the 2013 Nanyang Education award. Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) are getting dramatically cheaper and more capable, and we are fast approaching the day when fleets of UAVs are deployed for disaster first response, package delivery, and many other domains. Noah Askin
