Dr. Eric C. Leuthardt
Not one for idle time, Dr. Leuthardt is an Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at Washington University School of Medicine, where he specializes in brain-mapping for patients with brain tumors and epilepsy; Director of Washington University’s Center for Innovation in Neuroscience and Technology, a collaborative collective for developing new technologies to improve neurosurgery; and a published author of the hit psychological thriller RedDevil_4.
Dr. Jamie Ake
Dr. Ake is an Assistant Dean and Academic Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. In this role, Dr. Ake advises a large number of our future community service leaders and practitioners, while also teaching for the Department of Women and Gender Studies and the Department of English.
Dr. John Hoal
John Hoal Ph.D is the founder of the award-winning H3 Studio, an interdisciplinary research and design studio in St. Louis specializing in urbanism, architecture, landscape and sustainability, and he is the Chair of Urban Design and Professor Architecture and Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis. Hoal researches, practices and teaches architecture, urban design and community-based planning in the United States, Asia and Southern Africa, and lectures nationally and internationally on the design and development healthy, resilient and livable cities.
Jason Purnell
Dr. Purnell is an Assistant Professor in the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. He teaches in both the public health and social work graduate programs, and his research focuses on the social and economic factors that drive health outcomes.

Born in Virginia and raised in Spain, Javier Mendoza headed back to the States on a soccer scholarship to play for St. Louis University. When an injury kept him from playing, he picked up the guitar and began writing music. Soon after he signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell, writing for Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Emilio Estefan and others.
