What is TEDx?
The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.
At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED.

Ryan Crafts
Ryan grew up along the Gulf Coast in northwest Florida. Pensacola is home to a massive military base where his father flew carrier-based fighter/bombers for the Marines. After attending college and medical school in Mobile, Alabama, he moved 3000 miles northwest to Yakima for residency training in Family Medicine. His 15 years as a doc have all been in Yakima. Things got interesting in 2009 when he quit his high-paying job to do volunteer work. Things then got really interesting in 2010 when he stumbled across the free clinic at the Union Gospel Mission. Ryan is now part of a growing collective of volunteers and uninsured/underinsured patients who breathe life into our community through the process of gift creation.Organizing team
