Theme: Made in the Future

TEDxYouth@BrookhouseSchool will bring together high school students from Brookhouse School and other invited schools in Nairobi. The event theme is “Made in the Future” and will feature a line-up of inspiring speakers and spectacular performers.

Brookhouse BTEC Music

This is a group of Brookhouse students doing BTEC Music course. They are all inspired by music and take music as part of their lives.

Liz Rege and Michael Kamau

Since childhood, music has always been a great passion for Liz and Kamau. It was music that reunited them after 10 years of not having seen each other.

Michelle and Maya

Michelle Hiuhu is an aspiring entrepreneur. She loves reading books and creative writing. Her inspiration is music. Maya Gondalia is currently at Brookhouse School currently doing the BTEC Music course. Her hobbies are swimming, playing soccer, singing and playing the guitar . Her inspiration is music.

Ariel Odera

Ariel Odera is 15 years old and a Year 10 student at Brookhouse School. She loves writing, singing and reading.

Badal is 15 years old. He is currently a student at Brookhouse School.

He is a Brookhouse alumnus. He is a realistic optimist as well as a progressive and modern thinker. He believes in world where each individual is given an equal chance to achieve his maximum potential, regardless of their race, religion, social status or ideologies.

Sixteen Year old Kavinya loves singing, cooking, reading, blogging and exercising. She is a senior student studying Music at Brookhouse School.

Esther is an A-level student at Brookhouse School. She is friendly and loves reading.

13 years old and in Year 9 at Brookhouse School. He is one of the students who initiated the starting of a TEDx Club in Prep School 3 years ago.

Kelvin is 25 years old young entrepreneur with over 4 years’ experience in innovative security business. Currently, kelvin is the Founder and CEO of Sunrise Tracking Limited.

Kyai Mullei

With over 8 years’ experience in information system design focusing on the design and implementation of bespoke hybrid software solutions for small to medium sized firms worldwide.

Laura is 17 years old and a senior student at Brookhouse School. She describes herself as a ‘personal growth enthusiast’.

Luca Berardi

Singer, Artist, Writer and Conservationist

Kenyan/Italian 11 year old Luka Berardi is a singer, actor, writer and conservationist. He has a great passion for music and acting.

Natasha Mutulili & Natalie Munda

Student

Natasha Mutulili is currently studying at Brookhouse School. For her, music has been part of her almost all her life. She has been doing it since she was 6 years old when she started performing in front of students. Natalie Munda is currently a student at Brookhouse School. She has a passion for singing and she recently overcame her dreaded stage fright. Music has always and will always be a significant part of her life.

Nyaronda Motsi

She is a student at Brookhouse School. She loves to perform, singing and acting. She has played the main actress role in some of the productions that she has done including, Hairspray, Les Miserables and 12 Angry Juros. She hopes one day to make an impact on the world in a way totally unique herself, independent of the expectations of others.

Ochieng is a senior Art student at Brookhouse School. Ochieng loves reading comics, watching movies and of course art. He aspires to go to film school and become an artist.

Roberto is 12 years old and in Year 8 at Brookhouse School. His love for reading led him to writing his book. In his book, 'Valley of Dinosaurs', Roberto brings to life his characters in a way that children will be transported to the land of dinosaurs.

She is a student at Rusinga Schools. She enjoys reading writing and photography. She has a heart for transformational leadership in Africa for a better tomorrow.

Andrea Tete Munyao, is a student at Rusinga School. Her hobbies are listening to music, playing basketball and reading books.

Treasures Ewila

Treasures is optimistic, very flamboyant and have a keen eye of fashion. Reader, socially open and always willing to make a friend or two. Tolerant and friendly makes him what he is and always able to lend a helping hand. Weirdly he is still life fishing but always happy to do sailing.

Veronika is 14 years old and in Year 10 at Brookhouse School. She gave a TEDx talk in 2014 entitled ‘Recycling’. This year she shares her views beauty. She is talented in Art and has a great passion for environmental conservation.
