Armen Harutyunyan
RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture
Armen Hartyunyan did his Master in Public Administration, RA Academy of Public Administration (2006-2009). From 2010 to 2011 Armen Harutynyan got his second Master’s Degree in International Economic Development, University of Bristole. He started his career in 2004, as an expert at the Agro-Science Department of the Armenian National Agrarian University. Armen’s next position was expert of the Marketing Assistance Project, USDA-MAP (2004-2005). In 2011 Armen worked as an economist at the CARD. After which Harutyunyan became Project Monitoring and Evaluation Expert at CARD. In 2012 Armen was the Head of the Marketing and International Relations Department at the Armenian Harvest Promotion Center. 2012-2013 he was the expert at the International Center for Education and Research and at the same time lecturer at the Agribusiness Educational Center. On 2012 Harutyunyan was appointed as adviser to the RA Minister of Agriculture and later as RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Armenia
Claire has worked for the UN for ten years in Brussels, New York, Barbados and the Philippines. Since 2012, she is the Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Armenia. Before joining the UN, she worked in the European Parliament in Brussels and in environmental NGOs in Jordan and India. Claire holds Master’s Degrees in Public Policy and Administration, (International Economic Policy) from Columbia University in New York and in European Politics from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
Sergey Sargsyan
Host at ArmComedy
Sergey Sargsyan is a satirical writer, stand-up comedian, and the co-founder of the first Armenian political satire website news outlet, ArmComedy.com.
Sargsyan joined the Civilitas Foundation editorial team after 7 years of development work at USAID on civil society projects. His work at USAID included projects on Armenia electoral process improvements, youth activism and fostering dialogue between political parties and non-governmental organizations as well as coordinating anti-corruption legal services to Armenia.
Presently Sergey Sargsyan maintains a full-time comedian career, which includes running ArmComedy.com.
Sargsyan holds a Ph.D. in Philology from Yerevan State Linguistic University, where he lectured for five years. He also serves as a board member at the U.S. Alumni Association of Armenia.
Siranush Sahakyan
Chairperson of the Commission on Ethics of High- Ranking Officials of Armenia
Siranush Sahakyan is currently serving as a Chairperson of the Commission on Ethics of High-
Ranking Officials of Armenia. Her previous experience in public service includes aiding the
President of Armenia and acting as a leading specialist for the Ministry of Justice.
Outside the Public Service Siranush acted as a partner at Legalata Law firm, a founder and
president of the NGO “Protection of Rights without Borders”, an expert for OSCE/ODIHR,
UNICEF Armenia, UNDP, the Civil Society Institute NGO, the Centre for European Law and
Integration, the International Centre for Transitional Justice at the University of Essex, being
involved in different legislative initiatives, lobbing projects, monitoring, research, strategic
litigation and legal counsel.
Siranush holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from University of Essex and BA
and LLM from YSU. Siranush is an active professor of human rights at Yerevan State
University, American University in Armenia, as we
