TEDxIkeja is designed to tell stimulating yet, native stories and showcase unusual ideas to inspire people to change their lives, their communities, and their world.
At TEDxIkeja, our task is not simple. We search, and must find notable people, who offer innovation, enterprise and optimism as antidotes to native challenges. These are the “TEDx Breeds”; people with “Ideas worth sharing.”
As the Breeds share great ideas (18 solid minutes or less), others are ignited and the drive for significance begins.
Each year, we will connect with the international TED community and host viewing events to give national and international ideas a chance to be seen and heard on our local stage.

Josephine "Joe" Obiajulu Okei-Odumakin is a Nigerian women's rights activist. She is the president of the rights groups Women Arise for Change Initiative and the Campaign for Democracy. She holds a bachelor's degree in English Education, a master's in Guidance and Counseling and a doctorate in History and Policy of Education from the University of Ilorin. Dr. Odumakin is currently the Executive Director of the Institute of Human Rights and Democratic Studies; President of Women Arise for Change Initiative; Chairman, Task Force of the Citizen Forum; Spokesperson, Coalition of Civil Society Organizations; and President, Centre for Participatory Democracy. In 2013, Odumakin was presented an International Women of Courage Award from the United States Department of State. Olukoya Olusanya

Olukoya Olusanya is a graduate of mechanical engineering from the University of Lagos and he is currently undergoing his National Youth Service program. He is the Founder and CEO of the Project Dove Initiaitve, a design and innovation program set up to empower youths to design and create eco friendly vehicles while still undergraduates. He is also the inventor of Nigeria’s first locally manufactured urban electric car, the D0VE P1. He is a man of talent, passion and creativity with a strong interest in automobiles. Though Olukoya comes from a very humble background, he is a fast rising innovator with innovative ideas worth sharing gained from finding the will to start a project many thought would fail. He lives his life guided by this key quote: “Men who changed the world are not those with the greatest ideas but those who had the will to bring even their modest ideas to life.”
