Betty Tsakarestou
Betty Tsakarestou is an Assistant Professor, Head of AD PR Lab at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University and External Lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. She is a 2015 alumni of the Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) on Journalism & Media at Ohio University. In June 2012, she joined CCEBI research network at CBS, focusing on Cities as platforms for co-creation/ innovation. Her current focus is on mobile society, entrepreneurial/social innovation in cities & digital communication. She serves in the BOD of the Institute of Communication as well as at the board of Impact Hub Athens. She has served as Director of Educational Radio-Television at the Ministry of Education, where she designed and implemented the digital transition strategy.
She is a co-initiator of an international Digital Storytelling and Cities Diplomacy Project "Connecting Cities" ,bringing together academic societies from Athens, Kampala, Quito, Santiago and Shanghai.
Dimitris Bouras
Dimitris Bouras is an international photojournalist - researcher, active since 1980.
He specializes in humanitarian issues such as poverty, social inequality and war. He has covered stories in Greece, Bosnia, Kosovo, member-states of the former USSR, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, etc. He practices investigative journalism and in recent years his research focuses on new forms of war and on conducting anthropological, sociological research and strategic international relations through a comparative study of the war in the area of M. East / Levant (Afghanistan - Iraq - Syria - Lebanon) and the Caucasus region (Ukraine - Nagorno Karabakh - Ossetia). He cooperates mainly with Think Tanks and Universities in the US & the UK.
Dimitris Drougkas
Dimitris Drougkas is a financial risk management advisor at EY. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Panteion University, has studied economics at Deree College and also holds a Master in International Economics and Finance from Sciences Po Paris. He has worked for ELIAMEP and SAMMAN and in 2013 he received one of the overall five Google Policy Fellowships that were awarded throughout Europe .
Natasha Pentagioti
Born in the 80’s, Natasha Pentagioti was always passionate about art but she decided to study politics. Her love about knowledge is expressed through her participation in the student community and her research on climate change of the urban environment. (PhD candidate on Sociology-Panteion University). For 12 years in a row, we read articles from her on international issues, and since 2012 she participates in organized actions of the civil society.
Paula Schwarz
Paula Schwarz is a serial entrepreneur who focuses on solving social challenges through smart solutions, rather than generating monetary revenue. She is the Founder of Startupboat, First-Contact, Migration Hub Network and the Accelerator program StartupAid.
Paula serves as an advisor for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, The US State Department, USAID, various European Prime Ministers and many Think Tanks in Europe such as the Talberg Fundation and the Aspen Institute. She is the Leader of the Refugee Taskforce of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum and is a member of the Berlin Hub.
Pavlos Georgiadis
Pavlos Georgiadis is an ethnobotanist, olive grower and consultant in the agrifood sector. His research on the relationship between humans and the natural world, has taken him from the mountain communities in the Himalaya, Thailand and China, to the UN negotiations on climate change and sustainable development. Through his social and entrepreneurial action, he is prototyping Commons-based solutions for the regenerative economy.
Stavros Mavrogenis
Dr. Stavros Mavrogenis hols a PhD from the Department of International and European Studies of the Panteion University on the subject of International Law with a focus on Climate Change Adaptation, Law and Politics. Within his doctoral research he has developed an active collaboration with the International Institute for the Enviroment and Development (IIED) of London and with the research program "Many Strong Voices" of the Center for International Climate and Enviromental Research of Oslo (CICERO).

Symeon Sidiropoulos
Symeon Sidiropoulos is political and international relations scientist and is an expert on matters of Enviroment and Health. Currently, he specializes in Health Economics. He has worked as a counselor for various Political Institutions as well as scientific personnel. Other than that, he has participated in numerous scientific projects and many times as a speaker at scientific conferences and workshops. Last but not least, he is the President of the Hellenic Associations of Political Scientists (H.A.P.Sc.).
Vassilios Mougis
Vassilios Mougis has over 27 years of experience in chartering and ship brokerage and is the co-founder and joint managing director of Doric Shipbrokers S.A., est 1994 in Athens. Mr. Mougis represents Doric Shipbrokers as a panelist at Baltic Exchange and is the non-executive board director for Navios Midstream Partners L.P., listed on the NYSE.
