Culture does not exist in its own right, but rather arises out of the relationship between manifold groups. Especially in an increasingly globalized context, there seems to be a new requirement in representing the relations between proximity, experience and durability.

Daniel Sinsel

Daniel Sinsel lives in London and he is currently a fellow at the British School at Rome. Daniel Sinsel’s intimate, handcrafted paintings and sculptures are produced through a range of traditional techniques and materials that also speak of the expectation towards the Western Art object to endure and last. He blends minimalist forms with his own personal iconography to create subtly suggestive works that point backwards toward the intricate process of their making, even as they maintain an ineffable, near-iconic presence. Recent and upcoming shows include: British Art Show 8, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds (October 2015 – January 2016); Young Collectors 2, Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art, Istanbul ( March 2015 - May 2015); MIRRORCITY , Hayward Gallery, London (October 2014 - January 2015) Somewhat Abstract: Selections from The Arts Council Collection, Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham (April 2014 - June 2014).

Daniele Lombardi

Well-known internationally for his uncommon repertoire, Daniele Lombardi has worked extensively on the music of the twentieth-century historical avant-gardes, including first modern performances of a large number of compositions of Italian and Russian Futuristic music. Daniele Lombardi has always been deeply interested in a multimedia concept of art. His education, in both music and the visual arts, has placed him in the position to incorporate sign, gesture, and sound into a unitary concept of multiple perception, through analogies, contrasts, stratifications, and associations.

Mark Alizart is a french writer and philosopher, born in 1975. His interests lie in pop culture and postmodern thought. Pop Theology, his latest book, explores the cultural heritage of the Reformation. which took place in the 19th century, and which left its mark on German Romanticism from Novalis to Hegel, as well as on the intellectuals we more readily associate with modernity, indeed postmodernity, such as Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Heidegger, or even Walter Benjamin and Gilles Deleuze Mark has also held different positions in the contemporary art world.

In 2002, Umberto Napolitano and Benoit Jallon founded LAN (Local Architecture Network) with the intent of exploring architecture as the intersection of several disciplines. This approach has today become a working method, and it has allowed the firm to explore new territories and to develop a vision that encompasses social, urban planning, functional, and formal issues. The firm’s projects consider this universe of possibilities at all different scales and contexts, and they have been recognized on multiple occasions in France and across the world, be they sophisticated architectural objects or experimental housing developments, commercial buildings, cultural projects or urban planning projects.
