Arbana Xharra
Arbana Xharra is an investigative journalist who has been engaged in local and international media for 14 years now. A few weeks ago, she has been awarded with a prize for courage, “International Woman Courage Award” from Secretary of State John Kerry, in Washington, a prize obtained for the whole Europe.
Ms. Arbana for more than a decade has dealt with topics of corruption in Kosovo, for which she has faced threats and lawsuits. Moreover, Ms.Xhara has been involved in different investigations of senior officials of the state for crime and corruption, for which she has also faced different kinds of pressure.
Since 2012 she started investigation on spreading religious extremism in Kosovo. She has done research in Kosovo, region and London for finding the sources for funding these kinds of organizations.
Ms. Arbana will confess to you different kinds of experiences she had during many years of her career.
Dritan Shakohoxha
Was born on July 15th, 1969 in Vlora, Albania. He finished his elementary education in “Kosova” elementary school in Tirana. Afterwards, he continued his education in “Konferenca e Labinotit” high school in Tirana. He finished his bachelor degree in “Pedagogical University”, with his major in teaching. In 1989, Dritan Shkohoxha continued his higher education at the “University of Sports” in the basketball branch and finished his degree in 1991. Throughout his studies Mr. Shakohoxha was involved as a collaborator in the journal “Bashkimi” and in the TV show “Rubrika Sportive” in the Albanian National Television. During the years 1992-1995 Mr.Shakohoxha emigrated in Greece and afterwards in Italy, where he worked different kinds of jobs as receptionist, in construction, restaurant services and plumbing assistant.
