Anastasia Pyrinis

Anastasia enjoys a challenge and is willing to defend what is right no matter what the cost. She is especially interested in being a constitutional law attorney and has a passion for foreign and domestic politics. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in law and eventually enter local politics, perhaps continuing onto the national stage.

Anya Arami

Anya Arami has always had a passion for world affairs and global activism. After five years in Model United Nations, Anya developed a fascination with human rights. She hopes to dedicate her life to international studies and world travel. In her free time, Anya volunteers teaching children, studies five languages, and plays the piano. Her strong sense of determination aids her in pursuing her goal of making the world a better place through universal education and international awareness.

Ben Hannel

Ben is passionate about math, science, and everything in between. His unrelenting curiosity has led him to pursue studies in engineering and computer science. He has been teaching himself computer programming since he was twelve, and knows six programming languages; as a result, he will be talking his passion to Stanford University.

Chris Hatch

Christopher has a strong desire to make an impact on society and is seeking to accomplish this by majoring in biomedical engineering. He hopes to go into research in this field. His favorite question to ask is, “how does that work?”

Julian Foley

Julian Foley is a small human with big aspirations. When not advocating for the LGBTQ community, he enjoys reading and thinking about all the dogs in the world. He currently attends Century Academy where he serves as the editor in chief of the yearbook.

Natalie Barzyk

Natalie is an avid photographer, and is currently on the her high school’s yearbook staff as publicity editor. She volunteers at an animal center and is passionate about working with animals and the biological sciences. When she is not eating her weight in dim sum and grilled cheese sandwiches, she daydreams about becoming the world’s best pediatric oncologist.

Pranav Kaygee

Pranav is a student and humanitarian. He has been exposed to cancer awareness and its treatment in 3rd world countries. He believes that anyone anywhere in the world can help alleviate the plight of cancer patients and therefore plans to pursue a career in the health sciences in order to make an impact on society. Currently, he is a feature editor of his school newspaper, the co-chairman of Assiteens, a youth community service organization, and an intern at Westminster Free Clinic. He is willing to go the extra mile to aid the unfortunate and gather support to launch a whole-scale effort to improve the world.

Sean Moran

Sean is an avid yo-yoist. When he began yo-yoing, he wanted to learn something new and challenging: something that was flashy and that he could show off to friends. He picked up his first yo-yo in 6th grade and began a long career from there. Before he began, Sean never really considered what he wanted for himself, and yo-yoing changed that.

Shreya Chattopadhyay

Shreya splits her time almost evenly between Mock Trial and Journalism. She is a varsity Defense Attorney and a member of the her high school’s newspaper as the Social Media and Sports Editor. She plans on going to Law School eventually pursuing public policy.

Victoria Jiang

Victoria, a talented dancer, also plays piano and is part of the choir at Westlake. Besides school and work, Victoria is interested in taking photos, browsing recipes, and playing card games. She hopes to someday be a surgeon or lawyer. She believes everyone should make an effort to find a passion, no matter what it is, and do it.

Whitney LaValle

Whitney sees herself working as a research scientist to help prevent brain afflictions such as those that affected her mother. By doing so, she hopes to help further humankind’s understanding of the brain. She hopes to study Neuroscience or Cognitive Science in the future.
