Pour cette deuxième édition de TEDxClermont le 17 octobre 2015 à l'Opéra-Théâtre de Clermont-Ferrand, nous avons invité 10 intervenants et 5 artistes à partager leur point de vue sur le monde. / For the econd edition of TEDxClermont the 17th October 2015 at the Opera-Theater of Clermont-Ferrand, we invited 10 speakers and 5 artists to share their point of view on our world.

Abraham 'Tismé' DIALLO

Abraham Diallo a.k.a. Tismé est compositeur, interprète, beat-boxer, batteur, organisateur d’événements, metteur en scène et DJ. Il fait partie du groupe Unno et du collectif JayFly basé à Dunkerque. Il compose, conçoit, concourt, collabore, contribue, cultive et s’enthousiasme pour de nouveaux projets comme son intervention à TEDxClermont. / Abraham Diallo aka Tismé is a composer, a performer, a beat-boxer, a drummer, an event organizer, a director and a DJ. He is part of the collective JayFly and the band Unno based in Dunkerque. He composes, designs, concurs, collaborates, participates, grows and gets enthusiastic for new projects such as his talk at TEDxClermont. www.tisme.fr www.jay-fly.com

Antonio MEZA

Né à Pachuca au Mexique, Antonio vit aujourd’hui à Paris. Il est consultant, coach et dessinateur. Il est le fondateur de la société Akrobatas qui propose des programmes d’entraînement sur la prise de parole en public, le storytelling, l’intelligence émotionnelle, le langage du corps... Il participe aussi à la compétition d’éloquence Toastmasters. Il a terminé premier au concours pour l’Europe du Sud et a atteint la demi-finale du concours international 2015 à Las Vegas. / Born in Pachuca, Mexico, Antonio now lives in Paris. He is a consultant, coach and cartoonist. He is the founder of Akrobatas that offers training programs on public speaking, storytelling, emotional intelligence, body language ... He also participated in the Toastmasters speech competition. He achieved first place in the competition for South Europe and reached the semifinals of the 2015 international contest in Las Vegas.

Ariane TICHIT

Docteur en sciences économiques, Ariane est Maître de conférences à l’Université d’Auvergne. Elle est aussi chercheur au CERDI (Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International au CNRS et à l’Université d’Auvergne) depuis 2007, après avoir occupé des postes à Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne et l’Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Elle enseigne l’économie générale et l’économie du travail. Depuis un peu plus d’un an elle a orienté ses recherches sur les monnaies non-bancaires. / With a PhD in economics, Ariane is lecturer at the University of Auvergne. She is also a researcher at CERDI (Center of studies and Research of International Development at CNRS and University of Auvergne) since 2007, after she hold position at University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon. She teaches general economics and work economics. In the past year, she focused her researches on alternative currencies.

Benjamin van WYK de VRIES

Benjamin van Wyk de Vries, anglais d’origine, vit en France depuis 17 ans. Il est professeur de Volcanologie au Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans à l’Université Blaise Pascal. Il collabore avec des spécialistes au monde entier. Ses recherches récentes s’étendent de Gergovie, à la Chaîne des Puys, jusqu’à la planète Mars. Il est actuellement détaché partiellement au projet "Chaîne des Puys Faille de Limagne" - la candidature au Patrimoine Mondial de l’UNESCO. / Benjamin van Wyk de Vries is English and has been living in France for 17 years. He is a professor of volcanology at the Magma & Volcano Laboratory at the University Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand. He collaborates with experts worldwide. His recent research range from Gergovie to the Chaîne des Puy and to planet Mars. He is currently assigned to the project "Chaîne des Puys Limagne Fault" - the nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Claire MEYNIAL

Claire est grand reporter à l'hebdomadaire Le Point. Ses reportages l'ont emmenée en Somalie avec les troupes ougandaises, dans un hôpital infesté par Ebola à Lagos ou encore le plus grand camp de réfugiés du monde, au Kenya. En octobre 2014, elle a reçu le prix Ouest-France Jean-Marin au festival international de Bayeux-Calvados des correspondants de guerre, pour un reportage dans le village de Chibok, au nord du Nigeria, où 276 lycéennes ont été enlevées par Boko Haram en avril 2014. / Claire is reporter for the French newsmagazine Le Point. Reporting brought her to Somalia with the Ugandan troops, in an hospital plagued by Ebola in Lagos or further in the world's largest refugee camp in Kenya. In October 2014, she has been awarded the Jean-Marin Ouest-France Price at the international Bayeux-Calvados festival of war correspondents, for her report in the village of Chibok in northern Nigeria, where 276 high school girls were abducted by Boko Haram in April 2014.

Cyrille AIMEE

Cyrille Aimée, étoile montante du jazz outre-Atlantique, a grandi principalement en France. Fascinée par la musique des Manouches et leur mode de vie, elle se forge un solide apprentissage musical à leur contact. 1er prix de la compétition vocale du festival de Jazz de Montreux, elle parcourt depuis le monde lors de tournées internationales. / Cyrille Aimée, rising star of jazz music in the US, grew up mainly in France. Fascinated by the music of the Gypsies and their way of life, she built a solid musical training at their contact. Daniel WAPLES

Originaire de Londres, Daniel Waples, musicien depuis son enfance, essaie de nombreux instruments avant de recevoir son premier hang (handpan) en 2007. Depuis, il parcourt la planète en propageant sa passion pour cet instrument de percussion au son envoûtant. En totalisant plus de 20 millions de vues sur Youtube et en multipliant les concerts en tous lieux à travers le monde, Daniel est aujourd’hui devenu un des principaux ambassadeurs du hang. / Originally from London, Daniel Waples has been playing music since childhood. He tried many instruments before receiving his first hang (handpan) in 2007. Since then, he has been traveling the world, spreading his passion for this percussion instrument producing captivating sounds. Dessinateur ASTER

Aster, exerce la profession de "cartooniste". Belge, né en 1976, Aster obtient une Licence en journalisme et s’intéresse tout naturellement au dessin de presse. A 23 ans, il s’oriente vers la communication d’entreprise, avant de développer l’animation d’événements. Il anime les réunions, les séminaires, les congrès au moyen de caricatures réalisées sur le vif, filmées et ensuite projetées à l’écran pour divertir le public et pimenter les présentations. / Aster has been working as a cartoonist. Born in 1976 in Belgium, Aster obtained a BA in journalism and got naturally interested in news cartoons. At 23, he turned to corporate communications, before developing the animation of events. He facilitates meetings, seminars, conferences via caricatures made on the spot, filmed and then projected on the screen to entertain the audience and spice up presentations.

Dorine BOURNETON

Paraplégique à 16 ans, suite à un accident d’avion de tourisme, Dorine a toujours aimé voler. Portée par sa passion, elle réussit à passer son brevet de pilote à Toulouse en 1995. En 2014, elle devient la première femme paraplégique pilote de voltige. En 2003, de par sa ténacité et son engagement, elle fait évoluer la réglementation pour que les personnes handicapées des membres inférieurs puissent accéder au métier de pilote professionnel. “Tout est possible à qui le veut vraiment!” / Paraplegic at 16 after a private plane crash, Dorine always loved aviation. Driven by her passion, she managed to pass her pilot's license in Toulouse in 1995. In 2014, she became the first paraplegic woman to become an aerobatics pilot. Emmanuel BONNET

Chercheur, membre de l’Open Lab “Exploration Innovation” de l’Université d’Auvergne, Emmanuel est passionné par l’innovation sous toutes ses formes, y compris les plus ordinaires. Il effectue actuellement une recherche post-doctorale à l’INRA de Toulouse qui porte sur de nouvelles formes d’apprentissage dans le monde agricole. / Researcher, member of the Open Lab "Innovation Exploration" of the University of Auvergne, Emmanuel has a passion for innovation in all its forms, including the most common ones. He is currently working on a post-doctoral research at INRA Toulouse studying new forms of learning in the agricultural world.

Fanny AGOSTINI

Présentatrice Météo / Weathercaster + Organisatrice du / Organiser of "Climate Bootcamp"

Fanny est née en Auvergne, à la Bourboule. Depuis septembre 2011, elle présente les bulletins météo sur BFMTV. Très engagée sur les questions environnementales et très attachée à sa région natale, elle co-organise à la Bourboule en septembre 2015 le Climate Bootcamp avec Cédric Ringenbach et Nicolas Hulot, une session d’entrainement à destination des journalistes pour les sensibiliser et leur faire gagner en hauteur de vue sur les enjeux climatiques. / Fanny was born in La Bourboule, Auvergne, France. Since September 2011, she has been presenting the weather reports on the French news channel BFMTV. Really committed to the protection of the environment and very attached to her native region, she co-organized in La Bourboule in September 2015 the Climate Bootcamp, with Cédric Ringenbach and Nicolas Hulot, a training session for journalists in order to raise their awareness and give them perspective about Climate issues.

Magdalena RYCHLOWSKA

Quand elle était enfant, Magdalena Rychlowska voulait être couturière – et puis traducteur. Finalement elle est devenue psychologue sociale. Originaire de Pologne, elle a soutenu sa thèse à Clermont-Ferrand. Ses travaux de recherche concernent la perception et la production des expressions faciales, plus particulièrement des sourires. Elle travaille actuellement à l’Université de Cardiff et profite du beau temps britannique. / As a child, Magdalena Rychlowska wanted to be a seamstress - and then a translator. Eventually she became a social psychologist. Originally from Poland, she defended her thesis in Clermont-Ferrand. His research is about the perception and the production of facial expressions, especially smiles. She currently works at the University of Cardiff and enjoy the beautiful British weather.

Maxime VALLET

Entrepreneur boosté par l’innovation et la technologie, Maxime a créé Evotion en 2014, startup dédiée à la conception et la location de robots de service pour les professionnels, que ce soit pour l’accueil, les démonstrations ou l’animation de salon professionnels, centres commerciaux ou événements d’entreprises. Maxime est également directeur de l’incubateur Robot-Lab Lyon, premier incubateur robotique et objets connectés en Europe. / Entrepreneur boosted by innovation and technology, Maxime created Evotion in 2014, a startup dedicated to the design and rental of service robots for professional, for welcoming or demonstrating or animating professional exhibitions, shopping centers or corporate events. Maxim is also director of the incubator Robot Lab Lyon, the first incubator of robotics and connected objects in Europe.

Michael VALEANU

Michael Valeanu, né à Paris en 1985, est un des guitaristes majeurs de sa génération. Elève à la New School for Jazz de New York, il est sélectionné en 2010 pour participer au Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program. Depuis Michael Valeanu se produit dans les clubs New Yorkais et partout aux Etats-Unis, en Europe et au Japon. / Born in Paris, France in 1985, Michael Valeanu is one of the leading guitarists of his generation. Student at the New School for Jazz New York, he was selected in 2010 to participate in the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program. Since, Michael Valeanu has been performing in New York clubs and throughout the US, Europe and Japan.

Virginie BASSET

Violoniste depuis son plus jeune âge, Virginie s’est façonné un jeu original alliant technique classique et emprunts stylistiques de différentes musiques traditionnelles (Orient, Tzigane, Auvergne, la région autour de Clermont-Ferrand...). Après de nombreuses collaborations musicales et de multiples expériences avec le théâtre et la danse contemporaine, sa recherche artistique l’amène aujourd’hui à entrelacer danse et violon. / Violinist since her young age, Virginie has created her original style that combines classical technique and stylistic borrowings from various traditional music (Oriental, Gypsy, Folk music from Auvergne, the region around Clermont-Ferrand...). After numerous musical collaborations and multiple experiences with theater and contemporary dance, her artistic research brings her now to interlace dance and violin.
