In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Matthew Rowe has a passion for preservation and brings a unique perspective to the idea of community renaissance. A Newburgh native, Matthew holds a BFA in Art History from the University of Southern Indiana and is a graduate of the Victorian Society’s London School, an organization dedicated to preservation and appreciation of 19th century structures. He is the voice behind WNIN’s popular Downton Abbey talk show, Abbey Chat; frequently engages in public speaking; and has written columns for the Evansville Courier & Press and Evansville Living.Michael Strezewski
For the past 23 years, Michael Strezewski has dedicated his work to studying history. In that time, he has authored numerous articles and papers on the history and prehistory of the Hoosier state. In addition to teaching at the University of Southern Indiana, his research interests include Harmonist occupation of New Harmony from 1814-1824, Indiana’s fur trade period from 1700-1825 and pre-contact Native American cultures in southwestern Indiana.Rob Carroll
In his 19 years at South Heights Elementary, Rob Carroll has teamed with an incredible group of people to take the school from the bottom 25 schools in the state to a ranking as high as 27th. Because of his leadership, South Heights is the only school in Kentucky to win the National School Change Award. Sean Wallace grew up in Silent Hill, Jamaica. One of 13 children, Sean’s God-given artistic gifts led him to draw and paint on any materials he could find.
