In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Until seven years ago, I was a busy lawyer and my job was my life. Now, I live like a hobo, traveling from one country to the next. I gave up my career and my business, but I gained freedom and happiness. Soon, new adventures will beckon me to another continent, but before I leave Tîrgu Mureș, I will share my story and my thoughts on change with you.Bogdan Rațiu

I am Marius and I like to build things, although for a long time I wanted to fly. I’ve been building models of houses since I’ve been a child and later on decided upon a career in construction. At the end of the university I had the good fortune of encountering an experience that for ever altered my way of thinking – the PRISPA project. PRISPA is a home with whom Romania competed at the International Architecture and Engineering competition, Solar Decathlon, and won the 2nd place in Energy Efficiency. After this project I’ve stayed true to innovative and alternative way of thinking. You’ll learn more about it in my TEDx talk.Péter W. Szabó

Raluca MuresanThe dream of visiting New York she had ever since was a child made her apply for a Work and Travel summer students` exchange program and she obtained a job in New York, a chance she used very wisely: on her spare time, she traveled, took classes of tour guide and became probably the first Romanian with no American citizenship to be a local tour guide in New York City.Réka Kincses
As a teenager I could not resist the temptation to turn right on Köteles Street instead of going to Bolyai High school and to spend the day in the park next to the Maternity Hospital. Reading. Or smoking. Perhaps kissing. And there was always a boy who could not resist my temptation. Later I was expelled from high school, but at that time my attention was not focused on studies, but on life. I was a babysitter and I worked in a Chinese circus, I traveled in India and studied natural healing and I finally became a director. I moved from Tg-Mures to Cluj, then to Budapest and later to Berlin. I found at last a suitable university and I learned that a story – even the story of a life – can be good, deep and meaningful if it is full of unexpected turns and it’s unpredictable. Nowadays I often go home to Tg Mures to work as well.Rudy Moca
Born for change, battle, winning, performance, overcoming every obstacle of discrimination and becoming an example worthy of following, if one wants to change. This is who I am, a man who is guided in life by solid principles and thankful to the people that said “no” to me, since they built the man I am today. On the other hand, I strive to become better and I thank God for allowing me to never reach a zenit so I can learn, acquire and change. About myself, I can sum up in Haiku’s poetic words: “I’m a speck of darkness in the heart of light”Shinya Ozaki
