Caleb Harper

Caleb Harper, founder of the CityFARM research group at the City Science Initiative at the MIT Media Lab, is trying to solve this dilemma by leveraging prinicples that contributed to the rapid innovation of personal computing. Caleb recently launched the OpenAG network to develop the world's first open source "Food Technology" data commons. He leads the anti-disciplinary group of engineers, architects, urban planners, economists and plant scientists in the exploration and development of high performance urban agricultural systems. Caleb is a consultant to multiple international development agencies on high-density low-income urban housing projects, and has worked professionally as an architect designing data centers, hospitals and fabrication facilities.

David Sengeh

David is a cofounder of Global Minimum Inc. (GMin), an NGO that aims to break the cycle of dependence on foreign aid by empowering young inventors to develop tangible solutions to challenges, as well as creative endeavors like his own custom clothing line and making rap music that draws youth towards creativity and away from drugs and gansterism.

Now a fashion and portrait photographer in Brookline, MA, Gulnara Niaz worked in Kyrgyzstan as a model, fashion designer, and model agent. She works with clients to reflect their beauty, personalities, and contours.

Jason Wishnow, film director and the filmmaker behind TEDTalks, has been called “no stranger to difficult shoots” (Wired UK, 2014), an “online-video virtuoso” (New York Times, 2009), and the “enfant terrible of digital film” (The Guardian, 2000).

Kate Krontiris

Kate Krontiris is a social scientist, strategist, and facilitator working to transform civic life in America. In pursuit of a society where more people assert greater ownership over the decisions that govern their lives, she uses ethnographic tools to design products, policies, and services that enable a more democratic future. She is has just completed an embedded ethnographic investigation of what motivates everyday people to take civic actions, and what holds them back, in collaboration with Google. For the 2014-2015 academic year, Kate holds a fellowship at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, at Harvard University.

Man Wai Che

Man Wai Che, clasically trained at The Julliard School, is a boundary defying double bassist who is passionate about innovating new ways of playing the bass to maximize the acoustic potential of the instrument. He constantly experiments and overcomes the physical challenges of the double bass in ways no one done before.

Matt Carney

Matt Carney has spent years in industry designing humanoid robots, smart phones, energy harvesting kites, and implantable medical devices and is currently at the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms.

Matt Chaves

A former chemist and current comedian, Matt Chaves is a groundbreaking researcher in the fields of public embarrassment, linguistic abuse, and self-deprecating performance art.

Narayan Khandekar

Narayan Khandekar is the senior conservation scientist at the Harvard Art Museums. His main foci are understanding the materials and techniques of artists, and providing a career path for scientists into art galleries.

Nick Seaver

Nick Seaver focuses on direct private investments at Ziff Capital Partners where he feels fortunate to work with a group of terrific, purpose-inspired companies. Formerly, he was the CEO of Thanyapura, a destination resort offering programs through its Olympic-class sports training center, meditation center, integrative health center, and affiliated International Baccalaureate school. Once upon a time (2007), Nick and his wife participated in The Shamatha Project, the first major scientific study on meditation.

Rick Smolan

Rick Smolan is a former Time, Life, and National Geographic photographer best known as the co-creator of the "Day in the Life" book series. His global photography projects feature the work of hundreds of the world's leading photographers, and combine creative storytelling with state-of-the-art technology. In September 2014, the Oscar Winning Producers of "The Kings Speech" released TRACKS, a feature film based on Smolan's National Geographic story about Robyn Davidson's 2000 mile camel trek across the Australian outback. In the movie Robyn is portrayed by Mia Wasikowska ("Alice in Wonderland". Smolan will be portrayed by Adam Driver, of HBO’s "Girls”).
