Following TED’s Mission statement “Ideas Worth Spreading”, the students of École Mondiale World School have organized TEDx events to reach out to the members of the ever-evolving education and youth community in Mumbai, These TEDx events can have great significance in empowering as well as contributing towards these distinctive communities. The combination of the IB mission statement, and that of TED, is one that will create many fruitful experiences for the attendees of the event, the organizer’s, and the speakers themselves.

The human brain is a complex machine, capable of creating brilliant things. Our brains have designed the greatest machines, but the irony is that the purpose of every complex machine is to somehow simplify life. The World is a complicated place, everything we create is complex, but our brains identify those as simple things that don’t quite surprise us. It’s like saying a watch just tells us the time, but the watch itself is a complex structure.

As humans, it is in our nature to study every detail of things and objects that appeal to us. Even the simplest, complicated things.

At this year’s TEDxEMWS we aim to explore such matters of simplistic complexity that have impacted global evolution.
