Art, science, knowledge, ideas and even customs and traditions come down from one generation to the next, from one civilization to another, and from one nation to a neighboring one.
Any breakthrough that we enjoy today is a result of knowledge accumulation, starting with a wedding dress and up to the outer space!
In SYNAPSE, the first conference by TEDxMansouraUniversity, we'll showcase all this as a chain of interconnected talks. Each attendee, in turn, will be a new link in the chain through spreading the speakers' ideas to others.

Haraket Watar

Haraket Watar which translates to string motion is a young and energetic group from Cairo. Haraket Water participated in the third season of Arab's Got Talent and reaches the semifinals. For them winning the show is not the target, but exposing their unique mix of Blues, Oriental, Rock and classic music to the broad Arab audience.

Redeemers

Since their birth in 2001, the Egyptian rock band Redeemers have been telling a real and fiction stories through their imaginative songs. They mix both Arabic and English to fit their inspiration coming from books and movies.

Aam Sayyed

Mr. Sayyed, or Aam Sayyed as he likes to be called, is a one-of-a-kind taxi driver. He only received a Thanwyya Amma degree, however, he developed a deep culture and vast knowledge in different fields of science, medicine, engineering, astronomy and physics. Aam Sayyed is also a keen traveler. He has been to 7 different countries and is a walking encyclopedia of peoples' traditions.

Ahmad Mido

Mido Taught himself to speed-draw from youtube and is currently the fastest painter in Egypt. He won the third place in Sharmer's got talent and was appeared on television for several times.

Ahmad Wagih

Accountant in Oil service company

He is the founder of "True marriage" school which aims to teach youth how to choose the life time partner before marriage and how to deal with marriage.

Amal Atwa

Psychiatrist

Dr. Amal is a psychiatrist by profession. She currently trains students of the Egyptian fellowship of psychiatry program in Mansoura Psychiatric Health Hospital, a visiting lecturer at the Center for Security Consultancies at the UAE and a visiting consultant to various Ministry of Health Hospitals at the KSA.

Basel Refky

He is a lecturer in surgical oncology at Mansoura University hospital. Fellow at the National Cancer Centre in Japan (NCC). He studied at faculty of medicine Mansoura University. He also studied surgery at the royal college of surgeons of England.

Faried Omarah

Design architect, teaching assistant in the architectural field.

Faried is a design architect, teaching assistant in the architectural field, licensed Green Associate to the United States Green Building Council ( addressing the environmental design buildings and energy consumption) and a conceptual artist founding his own design make (FD). Faried has a wide range of various interests, sometimes contradicting interested, between strict scientific studies of physics, mathematics, and rules of rational thinking, and artistic criticism of artworks.

Mohamed Moustafa Mahmoud

CEO of MILE

Dr. Mohamed (Dr.3m) is the current CEO of MILE, a non-profit institution that focuses on building leadership and entrepreneurial excellence in the Arab and Muslim world. He received a B.Comm. degree from Mansoura University in 1976 and continued to get 3 Masters degrees and a Ph.D in Business Administration from the Wharton School in 1984. He is a member of the Global Advisory Committee at The Association for Strategic Planning, a not-for-profit professional association dedicated to advancing thought and practice in strategy development.

Mustafa Habib

University Student.

He is a Hybrid Learning enthusiast and a knowledge lover. He dreams about a better education for Egypt and he is doing my part through designing and implementing meaningful learning experiences. He studied Childhood Education for one year at The State University of New York. He wishes that knowledge seekers would never be kept away from their right to learn because of their financial status.

Nourhan Elsherief

Game developer

Miss. Nourhan is the kind of person you'd typically call a gamer. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Computer Science degree from Cairo University in 2013 followed by the Game Developer Diploma from the famous Information Technlogy Institute (ITI). She currently pursues a succesfull career in game development winning many awards and prizes including Microsoft Best Game Award (2015). She also won the 2015 edition of Microsoft's Imagine Cup national finals in the games category and will represent Egypt in the Pan Arab World semifinals in Bahrain. She is also passionate about learning Japaneese being the the country of manga and video games.

Shady Abdulhafez

Pharmacist

Dr. Shady is a successful pharmacist, a devoted husband and a loving father. His true passion, however, is the outer space. Dr. Shady is deeply interested in astronomy, astro physics, mathematics, philosophy and evolutionary biology. Dr. Shady is the founder of The Delta Astronomy fans club where he grabs his telescope and goes on tours in universities, clubs and even streets with a group of volunteers to teach people about the night sky and change how people look at the sky.
