TEDxIIMTrichy

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr.B. Narayan Viswanath

Dr. B. Narayan Viswanath, (fondly called as BNV by friends) Born on 12-July-1943 in Bangalore, took his B.Sc., in Agriculture from the university of Mysore in 1965, M.Sc.(Agr.) in 1967 from University of Kerala and Ph.D. degree in 1977 in Agricultural Entomology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. He pioneered terrace gardening and regularly organizes training programmes for housewives in Bangalore. Dr. Viswanath has several professional affiliations to his credit including ex-member, Board of Regents UAS, Bangalore. He has published nearly 40 scientific papers in national and international journals. He is also an authority in bio-fertilizers and promoted Kadur Agro for commercial production of the same. Currently, he is a freelance consultant in organic farming, terrace gardening, landscaping and bio fertilizers. He has a great passion for nature, environment, plants and insects.

Ignatius Orwin Noronha

Jagdeesh Gopalan

Mr. Jagdeesh has completed his Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore 1998 and M.E. in Heat Power Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra 1992 and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University 1989. He specialises in Experimental Hypersonics works in Shock wave dynamics.

Subramanya Ganesh T

Mr. Ganesh has been working with the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) since 1997 and has worked in the field of Mission Operations and Health Analysis of Indian Remote Sensing Satellites. Listen to his talk to understand how space technology is used in everyday life.
