What is TEDxPerth?

TEDxPerth is Perth’s premier ideas-sharing event for young people who are passionate about effecting positive change in the world. Held monthly at Scitech Discovery Centre, it is run by Youth Tree under license from the world-renowned TED conference. Each month up to 100 young people from across Perth attend to watch inspiring talks from TED.com by the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, as well as live, home-grown speakers with world-changing ideas to share. There are also representative speakers from local nonprofit organisations, open discussions, debates and a food sharing dinner.
Our aims are:
- to build a more aware, inspired and active young population in Perth,
- to provide a socialising and networking opportunity,
- to promote local non-profit volunteer opportunities in Perth, and
- to have fun along the way.
