A US lab recently achieved a breakthrough when they successfully recorded a net energy output in a fusion reaction, essentially simulating the Sun's method for releasing energy. If indeed we are to look to technology as the solution to the greatest problems that man-kind faces, we are certainly in a much better position today. And it is crucial to always know where we stand.

In light of that, our first Salon event of the series will be themed around the world of Technology; our speakers will explore the recent highlights in development of climates, materials and urbanization; inquire about the impact of emerging technologies in computation on the scale of industries, without forgetting how it could affect your life or mine.
