This year's TEDxGuelphU theme was "Inside Out." Through this theme we explored the development of an idea from its humble beginnings in the mind of an individual, to its manifestation as a potentially life-changing concept or object. We hosted a total of nine speakers in three sessions who covered a range of topics from the importance of a culture of storytelling to re-thinking the way calculus is taught in Canadian universities and everything in between. This year’s speaker’s line-up included a number of professors and students, some current and some former, of the University of Guelph as well as some speakers from out of town.
TEDxGulephU is a student-run event held at the University of Guelph focused on bringing together the city’s most fascinating dreamers, thinkers and doers in a TED-like day of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’. We are committed to delivering high-quality events for students and community members of all disciplines with fascinating speakers, inspiring activities and diverse attendees. Providing a platform for innovation, creativity and inspiration we aim to leave participants of TEDxGuelphU enriched and motivated to pursue and cultivate their ideas.
