On March 23, 2009, something groundbreaking happened at University of Southern California. USC partnered with TED to host the first ever TEDx event; independently-organized TED event. Since then, the TEDx movement has spurred a surge of people around the world to host their own independently run TEDx events in over 70 countries, in more than 37 languages, seen across 100 university and college campuses, with countless attendees.
TEDxUSC is a self-organized, invitation-only event featuring a fast-paced afternoon of rapid-fire simulation and thought-provoking content. And true to the format of the TED conference, TEDxUSC presenters give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less.
By attending TEDxUSC, you will have the opportunity to experience a variety of demonstrations, short films, musical performances and talks from notable guests who all have one thing in common; they all have an idea worth sharing.
We are thrilled to announce the next TEDxUSC event on April 12, 2011, in the Bovard Auditorium at the University of Southern California. TEDxUSC is an invitation-only event.
