About the speaker

Sammy Rae & The Friends

Band

Samantha Bowers, known as Sammy Rae, began writing songs at age 12. In 2013, she moved to New York to pursue music and songwriting and a residency at the prestigious Cotton Club jazz lounge in Harlem. After the release of the 2016 LP “Sugar,” she formed her band The Friends with a collection of talented musicians and friends. They released the self-produced EP “The Good Life” in 2018.
